Homeopathy in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire

Skin complaints

The Homeopathic viewpoint on skin problems is that, if at all possible, the body will put the symptoms of its dis-ease out on the skin. This is because when on the skin, with rare exceptions, the symptoms can do the least harm as they are safely away from internal organs. Eruptions on the skin can indicate that you have a fairly healthy immune system that has the energy to produce symptoms on the skin as opposed to internally. Many childhood illnesses result in a skin rash with the sufferer feeling quite unwell until the rash appears, e.g. measles, rubella, chickenpox. This could be regarded as an indication that skin symptoms represent a successful immune system.

Skin problems such as acne are often hormonally related with spots appearing during certain stages of life and or particular times of the month. Careful questioning should help me to discover whether there is a hormonal element to your skin problem and help me to prescribe accordingly.

The tendency to get warts and verrucae (which are simply warts on the feet that have grown in rather than out due to the pressure from standing on them) are often a hereditary problem and represent an inherent predisposition to disease. So in addition to finding out your individual experience of your warts or verrucas I will be very interested in your family medical history.
